What is the difference between a Bus Expander and a Bus Expansion Kit?

Information

Answer

Telect's Bus Expander interconnects the terminal plates on one side of two BDFB/BDCBB stacked on top of each other.  The Bus Expander also allows for additional cabling connections for larger current feeds.  Telect's Bus Expansion Kit is used to stack a 3rd or more BDFB/BDCBB onto the two BDFB/BDCBBs that are already connected by the Bus Expander.

Therefore, if you are only connecting two (2) BDFB/BDCBBs together you only need a Bus Expander (one for each feed), for each additional BDFB/BDCBB you want to connect you would need one Bus Expansion Kit (one for each feed).

For Example, if you wanted to stack three (3) of Telect's BDFB 007-0001-2600 panel you would need the following:

Qty 2 of 007-0002-0012 (Input bus expander, one for A feed and one for B feed)

Qty 2 of 007-0002-0010 (Input bus expansion kit, one for A feed and one for B feed)

Qty 2 of 007-0002-0022 (Return bus expander, one for A feed and one for B feed)

Qty 2 of 007-0002-0020 (Return bus expansion kit, one for A feed and one for B feed)

Adding a 4th 007-0001-2600 panel would require the following:

Qty 2 of 007-0002-0010 (Input bus expansion kit, one for A feed and one for B feed)

Qty 2 of 007-0002-0020 (Return bus expansion kit, one for A feed and one for B feed)
