What are the different types of fuses? How are they different?

« Go Back

Information

Answer

In basic terms, fuses differ primarily regarding the amperage value that each type can handle. Low-current GMT fuses typically handle up to 20A, while KLM and KTK fuses are rated up to 30A. High-current fuses include TPA (up to 50A), TPS (up to 70A), and TPC (up to 125A). TPC fuses are also rated as a disconnect device to simplify maintenance. All of these standard types of fuses fit and function in Telect fuse panels, as well as panels built by other manufacturers.
