What are the LED panels for on the 078-0124-1201/1200 panels?

Telect's 078-0124-1201 panel comes with an additional 1 RU panel that has LED lights for each circuit that are illuminated when the tracer cable is inserted.  The 078-0124-1200 panel does not include the LED lights.
