Telect's passive DSX panels only draw current for alarm or status LEDs. Most panels with just LEDs draw very little current — about 7 mA per LED — but the power bus feeding them can tolerate higher current loads. The smallest recommended GMT fuse rating for circuit counts up to 84 is 3/4A. It is likely that not all LEDs will be lit at the same time, but when you start to add up the potential load the need for a higher GMT fuse rating becomes clear. For example, a single panel of 84 LEDs can draw around 580mA.
